Another one bites the dust.

Blogger.com are a bunch of lying assholes.

From the Content Policy:
We do allow adult content on Blogger, including images or videos that contain nudity or sexual activity. But, please mark your blog as 'adult' in your Blogger settings. Otherwise, we may put it behind a 'mature content' interstitial.

Apparently unless said adult content includes TG content.   This rant was precipitated when I went to the blog http://sissytrainer.blogspot.com.  Now, this one is not yet another caption blog, this was the more recent work of one of the earliest forced-femme authors, "Marlissa" and contained links to elaborate multimedia stories.   It's gone.

Hugo Black was another cool site, went there one day and poof it was gone.   These are not isolated incidents, there are several other smaller blogs that have been taken down, too.   And yes, every one has the adult warning before.   This behavior directly contradicts what it says on the terms and content policy.   Hugo was actually rather tame in comparison to most.

"It is our belief that censoring this content is contrary to a service that bases itself on freedom of expression"

Yeah, like fuck it is.

Anyone know of a good blogging host that isn't going to tell you one thing and then do another?

Yay...blogs

You  might have noticed that, once again, the amount of activity I have at LiL has waned.   I am down to 7 active threads, each of which I post to once a week at the most.  And this is spread over several alts.  Obviously, this just isn't my focus anymore.

So, what is?

I have been helping out Mistress Dyvia's new website, and it has been fun.  She has a few interesting ideas that make the place different than M&R (or Lacy), it will be interesting to see how it "scales" when she opens it up to others.  Since it's not totally open for business yet, that's all I will say on that front.

You may have also heard that I was laid off for a long time and had a new job that was sucking all my energy.   That was true for a while, the new job does require me to spend a lot of time learning new things, which is good, I love to learn things.  It's among my favorite activities.

The thing that I have actually been enjoying the most is playing on IM.   One player in particular has been my partner in all kinds of impromptu stories.    There's something about the freedom, the ability for anything to happen that really lets me go free.   The settings sort of coalesce together, each of us adding a detail until we arrive at a consensus.   With M&R, there's an entire framework, check Glenda's excellent work gathering together all the "Common Law", with this, we are free to go wherever we like.

I will post an example in a later blog, but it has me thinking.   The problem with IM is that it really only works for 2 people.  Yes, you can conference others, but then they have to be there all the time.  With two, you can add rapidly, slowly, whatever rate you wish.    I am wondering what a forum that encourages collaborative storytelling but allows freedom could look like.   Perhaps just a phpBB system (despite my loathing of PHP), but with some ability to define a structure for within that story.

Oh, well, if you want to know where I am, that's the short answer. IM.

Longer answer, it's hard to write for my LiL characters.   With Barbie, I feel like my efforts lately just aren't that good, I reread some of the earlier Barbie posts and I think they're great.   The recent ones, not so much.

Fuchsia, ah... Fuchsia.   Here I just simply feel over my head.   She was always an experiment, to try something truly different, and that has succeeded rather well.  It's just that it takes so long to come up with a post and when I'm done, I can't tell if she's just way too pretentious or something.   When I wake up, the remains of my dreams are where Fuchsia's inspiration lies, but like dreams they float away before I can write them down.   I guess my love letter to Philip K. Dick, Robert A. Wilson, and several other writers is just too difficult to actually write.

DeeDee herself is gone for lack of story, she may show from time to time, but, really, I have nothing to keep her going.

Legion, of course, has many possibilities.   Right now, I am focused mostly on the Chandler saga, there's a lot of story there, it will just take time.

The other time occupying thing I have is music, and so as usual, I will leave you with a little video.   I recently started looking into a particular genre of music that, on the face of it, would seem to alienate almost everyone in the entire world.  Symphonic metal - opera hybrids.    Yes, seriously.   Take a (usually Scandinavian or Dutch) metal band and add an opera-type singer, and maybe an orchestra too.   I think it's awesome, but man, talk about a hard sell.   In any case, I present you with a song about one of the original psycho femme-fatales, Artemis by Aesma Daeva.
