Blogger.com are a bunch of lying assholes.
From the Content Policy:
We do allow adult content on Blogger, including images or videos that contain nudity or sexual activity. But, please mark your blog as 'adult' in your Blogger settings. Otherwise, we may put it behind a 'mature content' interstitial.
Apparently unless said adult content includes TG content. This rant was precipitated when I went to the blog http://sissytrainer.blogspot.com. Now, this one is not yet another caption blog, this was the more recent work of one of the earliest forced-femme authors, "Marlissa" and contained links to elaborate multimedia stories. It's gone.
Hugo Black was another cool site, went there one day and poof it was gone. These are not isolated incidents, there are several other smaller blogs that have been taken down, too. And yes, every one has the adult warning before. This behavior directly contradicts what it says on the terms and content policy. Hugo was actually rather tame in comparison to most.
"It is our belief that censoring this content is contrary to a service that bases itself on freedom of expression"
Yeah, like fuck it is.
Anyone know of a good blogging host that isn't going to tell you one thing and then do another?

I have not found any alternative that is more reliable than blogger (although there may be some). It is important to keep back ups of the blog. Blogger lets you save the text as a XML file, but I do not think that will cover the images. At the moment I am using WinHTTrack to download the whole site to a hard drive.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, Rebecca Molay commenting on my little blog! Rebecca's World has long been one of my favorite caption sites.
ReplyDeleteI just hope that Sissy Trainer manages to get the site back and this isn't some crusade on the part of Blogger.
